Our Tips for Tailgating + Custom-Designed Beer Koozies

September 23, 2014

Over at Provisions, we're all about collections of beautiful, useful products to help make the most of good food -- and we don't want you to miss out on the fun.

Today: Be the MVP of every tailgate, forever.

The arrival of fall heralds football season -- to some, that may mean stats and sports; to us, that means chips and guacamole and beer drinking.

At our ideal tailgate, the sausage is an artisan smoked kielbasa, the buns are homemade, and the ketchup comes from a sweet, ripe tomatoes grown on a small Jersey farm.

While the formula (friends + crazy sports excitement + sausages on the grill) is already pretty flawless, even perfection can be improved upon -- right?

Specifically we thought: Could we make beer better? No. But we wanted to make it more fun, so we asked one of our most popular Provisions merchants, Dot and Army, to design us some koozies to keep our hands warm and our beer cold.

All of her designs were so awesome (bikes, cars, and planes) that we couldn’t choose between them -- so we asked you all to help us and vote. The crowd favorites were bikes and cars, and today they’re finally available -- pick them up here, and happy tailgating!

Tell us, what is your must-have tailgate food?

I like warm homemade bread slathered with fresh raw milk butter, ice cream in all seasons, the smell of garlic in olive oil, and sugar snap peas fresh off the vine.
