Do you have a consistently crowd pleasing potluck dish? Maybe it's herbed mac and cheese, a batch of crispy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, or a big wooden bowl full of panzanella. It's that special something you keep in your arsenal and pull out to impress your legions of fans (aka: friends and family).

Despite the gratitude you always get from the group, wouldn't it be nice to showcase your skills on a larger platform? Now is your chance.

Amanda and Merrill have teamed up with the Diner's Journal blog at The New York Times to search for the best selection of potluck dishes, some of which will be featured in a community-themed food issue of The New York Times Magazine. Head over to submit a recipe (don't forget a show-stopping photo) by noon EST tomorrow, Friday September 24th. A&M will test and curate, and the best entries will be posted October 6th.

If you can have one window with your recipe and one with the NYT form and you can copy and paste as long as the word limits are ok. It takes like two seconds to do.

Any chance we can enter the contest by linking directly to food52? I'd like to submit my five-ingredient green beans, but I can't quite manage it from Diyala. No worries if it doesn't work that way. Have fun testing!

I would love that 5 ingredient green beans recipe!

Can you submit more than once? Don't worry, I don't intend to fill a cookbooks worth. Thanks!

Yes.

Hi Ladies,
Just a point of clarification on this one and the form on the NYTimes site is confusing. The second to last field asks "Where is this from?" and give the example "How to Cook Everything." But in the fine print, you are attesting to your submission being original content. Can you clarify this for me?
Thanks.

Excellent question. Would you mind asking over at the post on Diner's Journal (linked above)? The editors there should be able to clarify.
