The New Custom Food52 Mini-Bar Program for the Delamar

June 27, 2016

One of the pleasures of having an excellent hotel room is returning to it after a long excursion on the town, skipping past the threshold, and bellyflopping onto the cool sheets of its big, cushiony bed. And then staying there for a drowsy spell before venturing out again. During these respites you might venture to creak open the mini-bar, praying to the snack gods that something worth ripping into awaits you on the other side.

These are the kinds of wishes we love to grant.

We're so excited to announce the newest Food52 adventure: a customized mini-bar program at Delamar hotels in Connecticut. Stay at either their Southport or Greenwich locations and your room's mini-bar will feature a selection of snacks from our Shop and cocktail recipes from our site (plus everything you need to mix them). Additionally, we've whipped up three ways you can join us in celebrating:

Come party

We're even hosting a Summer Grill-Out on Delamar's Southport patio to celebrate—and you're all invited. Join us Saturday, July 30th from 6 to 9 P.M. for food (some of our own recipes plus treats from Frederic Kieffer, Executive Chef and Partner at Artisan Restaurant, Tavern and Garden, drinks, some of our favorite Shop designs for sale, and heaps of summery merriment. Get your ticket here!

Stay the weekend

And if you're traveling to join us, stay in breezy coastal Connecticut for a spell—especially since Delamar is offering a special rate ($239 per night for a Deluxe King room, or $279 for a Superior King) for our readers and friends.* You'll also get $25 to spend in the mini-bar and 10% off a spa treatment! Call soon (since it's subject to room availability) and mention Food52 to make your reservation. And then tell us how you like all the new snacks!

Enter to win

Because we know not everybody will be able to make it to our party (tears), we're also giving away a weekend at Delamar—complete with valet parking, welcome drinks, and breakfast—on the house. Pack your floppy hat and your lobster forks, and enter to win here!

*Editor's Note: Since publishing, Delamar's special pricing for friends of Food52 has changed: It's now $289 for a Deluxe King (versus $239 originally) and $329 for a Superior King (versus $279 originally).
