Oh, I forgot to say that I will be trying this as soon as I can locate morels around here. Haven't seen them for a while, so don't know if the season is done locally.

I thought we weren't meant to soak mushrooms lest they become waterlogged. Is it OK then with morels? I know they need more than a brush-off, but I've always used the damp paper towel on the outside and a 'manual' check for 'critters'. This WOULD be easier.
