by:
July 21, 2011

Once again, we want to give a big thanks to all of our volunteer recipe testers for your thoughtful comments and for helping us continue to strengthen our recipe recommendations. You can read each tester's comments by clicking through to the Editors' Picks recipes — the comments are under "Amanda and Merrill's Notes" at the top. And even if the recipe you tested wasn't chosen as an EP, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!
Congratulations to another great batch of Editors' Picks!

Congrats to all! Cookinginvictoria I am so glad you liked the tart - that IS a chewy crust, I have used white flour too and it's definitly lighter ... try that next time! I have not tried whole wheat pastry flour though and that's a great idea, I will try next time!!!

Congrats to all the EPs -- all the recipes sound wonderful. Aargersi, it was fun to make (and eat!) your tart. Thank you for a great recipe. Next time I make this tart, I may play around with some other flours in the crust. But I won't tamper with the pecans -- they added such a lovely, nutty flavor to the crust. Also, I am thinking that other summer fruits (like blackberries and blueberries and maybe even figs) would be really yummy in this tart. I look forward to making it again. But next up is your raspberry miso salad, which is on the menu this weekend -- can't wait!
