Lauren Shockey-- a friend of Food52 and recipe powerhouse from our early days (of Cherry Clafoutis, Wildcard-winning Salted Almonds, and Sweet Potato Soup with Feta & Zaatar Oil fame) -- is releasing her first book today!
For her memoir-slash-cookbook, Lauren spent a year as a stagiare in four restaurant kitchens around the world: in New York, Hanoi, Tel Aviv and Paris. In other words, she lived our fantasy life and came back with stories, kitchen savvy, and recipes, not to mention eye-opening perspective on life on the line as a young woman.
