I had always wondered about the allure of MT. Your comparison was articulated so well. No snobbery, just plan practical. I am done with "over-blown" restaurants who delude you into thinking they are soooooo booked.... I almost took the bait last time in NYC with a 10:45 reso at MT. Cancelled at 9:00 and went to The Stand III, which I thoroughly enjoyed!
