Pie Party 1  Pie Party 2

For many, summer time means party time. Barbecues. Dinner parties. Cookouts. But we can't think of a better way to celebrate summer than a party that highlights summer's most treasured dessert: pie.

This past weekend, Food52ers vvvanessa, hardlikearmour, lapadia, and vrunka (from three different states!) met up in Portland for that genius summer celebration: the Pie Party. Sweet pies, savory pies, custard pies, berry pies: all parties of pie were represented. Read more about the pie party here on vvvanessa's blog, the beet goes on, and drool along with us.

Now, go throw your own pie party this weekend.
