EmilyC  Shrimp Burgers with Roasted Garlic-Orange Aioli

You know EmilyC. You do. She's positively engaged all over Food52: on Foodpickle, in contests, and, most recently, with Genius Recipes. The first user to tip the genie of genius (and Food52 Senior Editor) Kristen off to a recipe worthy of scrutinization. She made a case -- and wasn't wrong -- about the beauty of parlaying rock hard peaches into a pickly summer salad. In the vast and often seductive world of cooks canvassing their wares (okay, recipes), it can be difficult to separate the boys from the men, so to speak. EmilyC is a cook you can trust.

Any cook with an aioli winner passes the ultimate test in surefire technique -- it's one thing to prevent your own mayonnaise from breaking, let alone everyone else's! Have a look at her recipes and you can't help but see summer menus: Frittata with Bread and Cherry Tomatoes, accompanied by Corn and Collards Bacon Sauté, plus a Fizzy Orange Sherbet Cooler. Or, fire up the grill before it's too late for Soy-Lime Flank Steak with Peach-Ginger Salsa followed by a Hot Fudge Shake (why not?). She's like the neighbor you wish you had (or maybe, hopefully, do): festive, functional, and always there with a solution.
