My Mom had a muffin tin just like it in the 1950's. I learned to bake muffins in it and as I recall, all it took was a quick swipe with a wet dishcloth to get it clean before baking. Wonderful memories!

Thinking further, I believe my Nanny (aka Grandmother) had one very similar. Perhaps that's why as soon as I saw it, my heart sang! I will have to keep an eye out when antiquing for vintage kitchenware.

I'm in LOVE with that muffin pan. Is it a family heirloom or can it be purchased somewhere?

What a beautiful muffin pan, have never seen one like that before.

Agreed! I'd like to find one like that. Although I'm always spilling batter around the edges and it looks like it would be a nightmare to clean ;)

I'm a major batter spiller too, but I love that muffin pan. It looks like a family heirloom!

That muffin tin looks just like my mother's . . . . . . what memories. Mine is just as dark and seasoned as that one, although a bit more beaten up -- I started to say "battered" -- but without the pretty design. Who cares about clean up? It's gorgeous! ;o)

Hey f&s: Many congrats on your upcoming wedding and have fun on your big day! And congrats too on having your Dutch Baby recipe named as a Pear EP! I remember testing this recipe last winter and absolutely loving it. In fact, when I saw it as an entry in the pear recipe contest, I was thinking that it is definitely time to make it again!
