Cook Spotlight
Beautiful, Memorable Food
She’s called Beautiful, Memorable Food for a reason.
With one glance at her recipes, we can assure you: her food lives up to her name. It’s beautiful: her photos are stunning, colorful, vivid (she’s a blogger and photographer herself at her website, Spicebox Travels). But most of all, it’s memorable. A physician from San Francisco, Beautiful, Memorable Food has traveled the world, taking cooking classes far and wide, learning Taiwanese recipes from her family and Trinidadian recipes from her husband's. The result? Food that is at once exotic and comforting; food that is rife with flavor and spice. Food that is, well, memorable.
Beautiful, Memorable Food's recipes transport us to all corners of the world -- and then bring us right back home to embrace our own seasonal, American fare. But first: go to Bali. Make the Rejuvenating Balinese Green Apple Salad. Then, a fork in the road: Silk Road Lamb Burgers, or Gyro Lamb “Hot Dogs”? We’ll take both, and we’ll down a few glasses of Sangria Verde on the way. For dessert, though, we’re heading back to the US for some Whoopie Pies with Raspberries and Lemon-Scented Cream (pictured above). It’s a beautiful, memorable meal with Beautiful, Memorable Food.
