Kippered Herring Snack  Fish and Chickpea Pilaf

Any Food52 member is welcome to help us test our Community Pick candidates, so go call dibs on the recipe you'd like to test in the comments section below! We'd love to see some new testers in the mix. Don't forget to email us your notes (about 100 words) to editors@food52.com by next Tuesday at 5pm (EST).

We'll collect your comments, decide the official list of Community Picks and publish your evaluation in the headnote if the recipe is selected as a Community Pick (with credit, of course!). And even if the recipe you test isn't chosen as a Community Pick, please feel free to leave your testing notes in the recipe's comments section. Constructive criticism is always encouraged!

Even though I'm late to the party, it looks like Comfort Fish Chickpea Pilaf is still free? If so, I'll take it!

I guess it's time to hit the Italian grocery for some malvasia and maloreddus...I'm game to go on the hunt!

Enjoy! (If you can't find either, you can substitute another small pasta like trofie or even ditalini but it's so much better with maloreddus. Also, a sweet dessert wine like a vin santo could sub for the malvasia.)

Hey S thanks for testing! Please see my note that I have a typo - use the juice of one lemon, NOT one onion :-)

I saw that and thought wow she really does like onion, I'd have to invest in extra tissues to sop up the tears after dealing with juicing an onion LOL, Making it on Sunday, i know it will be delicious!
