Walker and Addie are two lucky FOOD52ers -- this week's round of testing for our canned fish Community Picks left them flush with options for lunchtime.

Here they're having Sagegreen's Herbed Ricotta and Anchovy Crostini and Halfpint's Lemony Sardine Pate with multigrain bread, Tricuits, and knäckebröd from IKEA. What about after their meal? Says Amanda, "Because it seemed like a vaguely Swedish menu, Swedish fish for dessert!"

Which of our Community Picks would you make for a weekday lunch?

My one and only went to school with 'unusual' food often ... unusual for the other kids and normal for us BUT, when you an only child, you do want to fit in. I was concerned always about nutrition and flavor and never much about disguising the real food to look like fast food. So my little one (now 32 yrs old & a true foodie and dear friend) had a bit of a time of it. She would have gone with the sardine dish for sure to school because I would have put it in. I'm not sure how much peer pressure would have caused it to be ditched but she has never confessed to ditching her lunch as I did many times when I was a child (over-loaded with baked beans to be point of never eating them again). I do believe my daughter is now a member of food52 so she truly is one of us despite all. Dear Amanda's kids .... "your mother really does know best. Try it. You'll probably like it."
