File under "adorable": Apartment Therapy has a roundup of 9 books for the tiny chef in your life. From the classic Bread and Jam for Francis to Eric Carle's signature illustrations in Pancakes, Pancakes!, these children's books are sure to inspire a lifetime love of food in your little ones.

(And to take a page from Amanda, don't forget to cook with them, too!)

To add to the list, when I was growing up I loved the detailed descriptions of food in Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House books. What are your favorite kids' books that feature food and cooking?

Oooh! Did you know that there's a cookbook of Roald Dahl-inspired recipes? I kind of wish I knew some little ones so I'd have an excuse to get Dim Sum for Everyone!...

Mrs. Larkin is a trusted source on Baking.

oh, gosh, there are many!

Anatole, by Eve Titus, is one of our favorites, too.

Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey.

Dim Sum for Everyone! by Grace Lin

So many of the Roald Dahl books - Matilda (the chocolate cake), James and the Giant Peach(the enormous peach!), Willy Wonka, et al.

My son James' favorite was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett. The book is so much better than the movie.

And Emily's favorite was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Om nom nom.
