Pippa Lord is the charming voice behind Sous Style, a blog for "a new generation of homemakers," where she peeks into the homes of chefs, designers, and musicians for tips on entertaining, tricks for organizing, recipes, and more.

Each week, Pippa hands over the reigns to Ben and Phil, The Fat Radish boys, who answer readers' burning cooking questions in their column, Chew the Fat. From what to buy at the farmer's market to foolproof breakfast ideas, they always have an answer and a recipe. This week, they discuss a dessert fit for a potluck: the Eton Mess. A free form pavlova of sorts, it fits perfectly into a mason jar for easy transportation to any potluck or picnic.

What are your go-to potluck dishes?

I love Eton Mess. Mine is a simple Texas Sheet Cake, which for the uninitiated is a frosted chocolate buttermilk cake. It is one of those things people glance at, then take a taste, then hunt me down for the recipe. It is done on a half sheet pan so it makes plenty which is handy.
