Meatballs&Milkshakes Asparagus and Mint Salad

There's much more to Meatballs&Milkshakes than her name suggests.

Shop the Story

Yes, some of her recipes follow that comfort-food sensibility: Comforting Tuna Noodle Casserole, Sicilian Tuna Meatballs, Mini Strawberry Rhubarb Pies. But Meatballs&Milkshakes -- a nonprofit fundraiser by day, fierce home cook and blogger by night – has more to offer than this. Her food, drawn from her favorite eating cities of New York, San Francisco, Paris, and Rome, is at once approachable and sophisticated: perfect for a weeknight meal, a springtime dinner party, and any and all occasions in between.

Case in point: Maloreddus with Anchovies, Orange, and Malvasia. Sounds fancy, huh? Yes, but it comes together quickly and easily, reminiscent of a hot afternoon in Sardinia with a view of the ocean. Meatballs&Milkshakes' other recipes – Cinnamon Chocolate Pudding with Sea Salt, Roasted Carrot and Butternut Squash Lasagna, and Shaved Asparagus and Mint Salad (pictured above), for example – follow that similar approach: good food, comfort food, but food with an extra dash of creativity, a spark of inspiration. Food that’s a lot more than just meatballs and milkshakes.

Congratulations! It's great to see you in the spotlight. Love your asparagus salad and can't wait for strawberry season to make your mini-pies - brilliant muffin tin idea!

Thanks! You can use that tip for any pie!
