Fruit Salad Worth Eating

by:

Generally speaking, fruit salad isn't anything to get excited about. Think unseasonal, rock-hard chunks of cantalope and honeydew mixed with a few token strawberries that are red on the outside but pale and hollow within.

Much better to take the route of this Honeydew Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing from Serious Eats. Balls of ripe honeydew are mixed with green grapes, half-moons of cucumber (which is actually a standard fruit bowl addition in the Middle East!), lime juice, and poppy seeds (which we're a fan of) for a fragrant and textural salad that will disappear quickly.
