The two California Olive Ranch olive oils in the tasting kit are big winners. The Arbequina is a Single Varietal oil, and tastes very fresh and fruity with flavors of tropical fruit and fresh artichoke. It's great in salad dressings or pestos -- and try it atop ice cream!

The Miller's Blend has a fruity beginning balanced with a bit of pepper at the end. It would be great with dishes containing blue cheese or strong, spicy flavors. (A great tip for Saturday's menu planning!)

And now...a giveaway! We'll be giving away a One Year Supply (6 bottles) of the winner’s favorite olive oil flavor: either Arbequina or Miller’s Blend. Anyone can win. We want to hear from you on Twitter and Facebook!

Here's how to win:

Twitter:
• Tweet something about either 1) a mozzarella potluck that you attend or 2) your favorite olive oil-mozzarella centric dish
• Include #f52mozzpotluck, @FOOD52 and @CA_evoo so we can track your entry.
• Get creative, include a picture!

Facebook:
• If you haven’t already, “Like” FOOD52’s Facebook page
• Post a photo and caption to FOOD52’s page from either 1) a mozzarella potluck that you attend or 2) your favorite olive oil-mozzarella centric dish.

Fine print:
• Contest participation dates: Begins Friday 4/20/12 and ends Saturday 4/28/12 at 12pm EST.

would be happy to spread the CA Olive Ranch word in conjunction with your contest. (would have anyway..this just makes it fun) American growers can use as much help as we can offer! Amazing product. We enjoyed it for the How to Make Mozzarella potluck this weekend. Thank you for offering this HUGE carrot to share!

I have a problem with a giveaway that one can participate in only by promoting your company or site. I've already "liked" your site on facebook and I routinely read your posts. Additionally, I'm already of customer California Olive Ranch. But if you want me to start promoting and marketing your products to my friend and followers, this is not the way you are going to get me to do it. Now I'm peeved. With less chance of me naturally recommending either Food52 or California Olive Ranch in a more honest or true setting.

pierino, you're so right. Both are outstanding. We had our potluck last night, and tasted the olive oils with the mozzarella we made. We also dipped into it slices of baguette I made using boulangere's outstanding Italian boule recipe, with a touch of Maldon salt. Divine! ;o)
