Grow Your Own: Pea Shoots

April 25, 2012

Everybody has a windowsill - whether you live in a city or the country. This month, The Yellow House dedicates a beautiful blog post to showing us how to make the most of it.

In this step-by-step, Sarah describes how to grow your own pea shoots so you can have these sweet, snappy greens just standing by in your kitchen, on call for a recipe or a garnish.

All you need is a jar, some cheesecloth, a bit of dirt and some seeds. Soon, you’ll be seconds away from ricotta and pea shoot crostini, this salad, or any number of creations; the possibilities are endless.  What do you have growing on your respective windowsills?
