Gone Camping: Best Made Co. Makes The Best Brisket

We don't know about you, but when we've spent all day in the woods splitting lumber, navigating treacherous terrain, and fighting off bears — which, you know, we're always doing — we come home hungry. That's why we're thankful the axe-wielding woodsman behind quality tool-making company Best Made Co. have provided us with this hearty, no-holds-barred brisket.

Their recipe is not for the faint of heart (or weak of arteries...). Prepped with bacon, beer, and BBQ sauce, then cooked over an open fire, it's done when it "smells done" and you better not give a damn otherwise. It's also designated to serve "four hungry folks who have been cutting and chopping wood all day," but we feel safe in assuming it'd be stellar even if all you've done so far today is play a game of office chair tag with your co-workers.

Cassie loves to cook, eat, and then write about it. She can't resist anything with sweet potatoes, but if she had to pick one food for the rest of her life it might be avocado. (She changes her mind a lot.) She also believes that anything will taste better on a tortilla, and that tacos are the premier food of summertime. You can catch her reading Calvin & Hobbes on the stoop of her apartment, or on the roof in her garden. Say hello!

Ha, lovely post. I used to work for Backpacker Mag, and so the title gave me flashbacks (read: PTSD) of dehydrated meals with shelf lives longer than well-tended to house plants.
