We know we've been there. We're pretty sure you've been there. It's down-to-the-wire on the night of That Significant Pot Luck and you haven't made a thing yet. Instead, you're staring down the snout of the world's best sounding pie, the one that will knock everybody's socks off and make you a hero, but there's one, big obstacle between you and buttery bliss: the perfect, homemade pie crust. You know the one we're talking about. It has just the right amount of flake, just the right kind of crinkle on the edge, and it can make or break your pie.

Just in time! Here comes the Pastry Training Centre of Vancouver with a set of step-by-step instructions for making that perfect pie curst, printed on usable parchment paper. Just don't forget the final (tongue-in-cheek) ingredient: "Love (1/4 cup, from child's soul)."

What's that? Dinner's tonight? Never fear! We've got you covered, with our own video tutorial on how to roll out the perfect pastry dough
