7 Things You Never Thought You Could Grill

June 10, 2015

As we do every year, we welcome the reemergence of grilling into our lives—dusting off the Smokey Joe (or, if you're lucky, a dreamy Big Green Egg), sneaking out and meeting equally sneaky friends early on Fridays, and generally enjoying the great outdoors. And just as you're setting yourself free from your stuffy office, set your grill free from the same old chicken, burgers, and corn on the cob. Get smoking with this newly updated lineup of 7 recipes for surprisingly grill-able foods, and your picnics will be the better for it.

I have a thing for most foods topped with a fried egg, a strange disdain for overly soupy tomato sauce, and I can never make it home without ripping off the end of a newly-bought baguette. I like spoons very much.

Half of the récipes I already used for to grill. And the other half is amazing and I start to try as soon as possible.

My two favorite "summer-worthy" dinners for this summer include smoked wild salmon & sushi-grade tuna seared on the grill with a citrus and chili marinade. Yum!

I love grilling sliced fresh figs! They are great on a salad stuffed with a bit of gorgonzola and drizzled with truffle oil. Also, these are great on the side of a grilled rib eye with a red wine/marrow sauce.

i love grilling peaches. they get so tender and juicy, perfect for the ones that aren't as good plain (or when i get tired- as if! - of raw peaches eaten over the sink). they're extra tasty drizzled with a marsala pan sauce.
