Abra Bennett, one of food52's international cooks (she lives in the South of France), has been with us from the start. Her blog, French Letters, details her food and wine adventures throughout France -- and recently Germany as well -- and includes lots of great recipes. Her recipes on food52 run the gamut from rustic and earthy (Autumn Olive Medley) to sophisticated (Autumn Jewel Salad) to just plain decadent (Rainbow Chard Tart in a Chestnut Crust). Check out Abra's profile and fan her here.

I love your site Abra. Also, I've been lucky enough to eat Thai food in Thailand is it really worth the trip!

Thanks, Amanda and Merrill! It's a real honor to be chosen, and I hope to see lots of Food52 readers on French Letters. It's not always about food, it's not always about wine, but it's always about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness.

When it comes down to it, they're all intertwined, aren't they? And you're welcome, Abra!

Well, I do have to say that I really love the name of the blog. Wish I'd thought of it first. Paula Wolfert has a new book which is always a cause for celebration.

The name of your blog sounds cute ...but isn't it a slang name for something ...ahh...hmm?
