Click the heart, it's called favoriting. Favorite the stuff you like.

Got it!

As her profile name would suggest, Angela @ the well-worn apron is a firm believer in apron use amongst the lot of us who cook unadorned, our clothes lying in wait for splatters of sauce or stray dustings of flour. But she likes them for more than just their protective power:

“For me it’s more like putting on a vestment and is a sign that lets everyone know ‘she’s cooking and loving it so don't try to stop her’.”

Most of the time, she cooks her bright, seasonal recipes in one of her two favorites, tied around the waist and fixed snugly with a hand towel. Angela @ the well-worn apron began cooking at a young age, when her mother gave her and her siblings free reign in the kitchen. And you can tell. Her honed skills and preference for clean flavors shine in recipes like her Grilled Tarragon Carrots or Avocado y Huevos Caliente. She will part with her apron, but only for the main event:

“There’s something wonderful about removing the apron when it’s time to sit down and eat and share the fruits of my labor with others.”

And when she’s not wearing an apron, she’s looking for an excuse to wear one:

“I love to cook for family and friends and I’m always looking for reason to gather a few people around the table for delicious meal. It doesn’t need to be fancy, just tasty.  It’s not just the food, but the conversation and comfortable mood that only seems to happen when people share a meal together. That’s what I love.”

Check out our profile Q&A with Angela @ the well-worn apron below, or visit her blog here.

What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?

Powdered eggs. What are they anyway?

What do you cook when home alone?

Eggs with a runny yolk, simply with toast or anything I have on hand ... greens, pizza, potato chips ....

Your most treasured kitchen possession:

My KitchenAid. A birthday present to myself when I started testing recipes for my cousin's second dessert book. Until I got that KitchenAid I never thought of myself as a baker. Now I bake when I can and always offer to bring dessert to pot lucks.

The ideal number of guests for a dinner party is:

8
