Although most of us lament over the recent "economizing" that most airlines have been forced to do, some airlines still provide edible and even enjoyable nibbles. Many airlines have been making great strides in improving the in-flight fare. According to the experts at Food Republic, Turkish Airlines offers an assortment of mezze for travelers in all cabins and Singapore Air provides travelers with other specialties including vegetarian noodle soups! If these snacks are actually as tasty as the author suggests, then perhaps they will soften the blow of ticket prices and distract us from the overly chatty passenger in the next seat.

But in a moment of Food52 Honesty, we'll admit that when traveling we prefer to bring along some homemade granola, granola bars, and flapjacks. Because, after all, traveling hundreds (if not thousands) of miles can really take a toll on the body and rev up the appetite!
