The Brits have a rather unsavory reputation when it comes to food. "I'm going out for some British food," is not a phrase you hear uttered with any frequency in America. But maybe, like most stereotypes, this one is based more in ignorance than truth.
Judging by the slideshow of 10 Must-Eat British Foods, that might just be the case. This particular sammie, purchased from the Kappacasein stall in Borough Market, features oozy, melted Mongomery's cheddar with chopped leeks, onions and garlic, nestled between two slices of bread from Poilane, the world-renowned Parisian bakery. Oh, my.
