A recent article from The Hollywood Reporter makes two things apparent. First, that we should have trademarked ‘Food Fights,’ so as to ensure the collecting of massive royalties, and second, that making movies about chefs is a new cinematic trend.
Next up on the docket in the film world is a new comedy “loosely based on chef Jamie Oliver and his reality TV show Food Revolution.” It is called, as you may have guessed, Food Fight. The edge-of-your-seat climactic plot goes something like this:
“The story centers on a hot Los Angeles chef known for his popular gourmet food truck who gets into trouble and is sentenced to work at a school. The chef revamps the lunch program with a ragtag group of kids.”
That the protagonist chef is hot makes us want to watch this; that the whole thing is produced by Ryan Seacrest makes us want to watch it more still. Until it comes out, we’ll have to tide ourselves over with videos of creme brulee.
