On a daily basis, we are bombarded with the scary reality of our current food system. Occasionally, we see a glimmer of hope in the form of family farms, documentaries informing the public, or apps trying to end hunger.
Here's a sneak peek of another informative project: The Perennial Plate is an online weekly documentary series about socially responsible and oftentimes adventurous eating. In season one of the series, documentary filmmakers Daniel Klein and Mirra Fine exposed viewers to the food system found in Minnesota. Season two took viewers all over America and in their upcoming third season, the filmmakers go global exploring China, India, and beyond! The series is another reminder that informing the public brings us one step closer to understanding, if not changing, our food system.
