Videos: Best of Amanda

August 29, 2012

Inspired by conversations on the FOOD52 Hotline, we're sharing tips and tricks that make navigating all of our kitchens easier and more fun. Today we're highlighting some of Amanda's best video moments.

Amanda!

We've had a lot of great video moments, haven't we? You've seen A&M make recipes, share helpful tips, dance the night away, and do other silly things (like whisking competitions, and rapid-speed kitchen cleaning).

We thought it'd be nice to put the spotlight on some of Amanda's finer moments in front of the camera. Take a look, take notes, and laugh out loud through Amanda's highlight reel.

First, Amanda shows us how to clean "handy dandy" cast iron:

She bravely takes on the task of whipping cream with a fork:

She coaches us through fixing broken aioli:

And speaking of aioli, remember the time she spilled oil all over the place (and Merrill)?

Hey Amanda,
Just the other day I found a tear sheet from Sunday Times Mag from 2002, I think of your trip to Italy. If I remember, the recipe was White Bolognese. What a great surprise to find that in my tear sheet pile.
Cheers

Funny -- yes, and that's the recipe. It was a "Food Diary" column about going to dinner at my friend Heidi's house in Rome and she made this delicious tomato-less bolognese. That recipe has become a family favorite (it's in my book "Cooking For Mr. Latte") and my husband requests it every year for his birthday.
