Kickstarter Love: Internet Bakery

By • August 21, 2012 • 0 Comments

Each week in Kickstarter Love, Feed52 will feature a Kickstarter project that focuses on food and the community. Basically, it’s about cool people doing cool things with food. This week: an internet-run experimental bakery plans to open for business in September.

Who doesn't love freshly baked goods? Especially freshly baked Salted Caramel Chocolate Cookies. Or do Chocolate Overload Espresso Brownies sound better? Well, put down your apron, because you can be part of a first-ever startup bakery that ships freshly baked, uniquely-flavored baked goods right to your front door! It's called Defcon YUM!. Everyday, for one day only, a special baked good will go on sale online. And after that it's gone. Popular items may come back, but with this type of bakery freedom, they can experiment with some very interesting flavors! Plus, all of their cookies are shipped priority mail, and come packaged up to your front door, waiting to be devoured.

But they need our help. We know it's not an easy task to start a company, let alone an internet-run bakery. If funded, Defcon YUM! can quit worrying about accidentally cracking too many eggs and focus on what they want to do: making and selling really great cookies.
