Stitched at the Waste
The chilliness of fall has finally settled in New York, which means a lot of us are packing away our short sleeve tees and dusting off our old thick coats. Maybe some of us are even considering buying new coats -- the buttons have fallen off our old one, or it looks outdated, a little raggedy. If this new coat deliberation happens while tossing out the other half of our sandwich we squeezed in during lunch, before we know it, we'll be contributing to the world's waste twice-over, in both fashion and food. TreeHugger has found a particular fix for waste in both industries: sewing them together.
