Look, Don't Eat

The photography we feature on Food52 most often is of the appetizing ilk -- fresh produce, colorful dishes. Food that looks good enough to eat, ideally. Stephanie Gonot's food does not.

But that's the idea. In her latest series, Fad Diets, she creates still life portraits of grimace-inducing regimes (the baby food diet, anyone?) that convey quite clearly what she thinks about diet food. The Master Cleanse? Brown Butter Tomatoes sound so much better.
