I consider my sweet tooth fairly well-traveled, but mithai are an uncharted territory.

They're the sweet, delicate treats made during the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali (celebrated November 13th this year), and they look spectacular. Milky, subtly spiced, and biding good times -- check out the Wall Sreet Journal's guide to a few of their delicious variations.
