A Mexican Menu, From Salsa to Flan

July  5, 2013

All week long Pati Jinich has served as our Guest Editor. She chose a Wildcard Winner, answered our questions, and shared 4 recipes from her cookbook.

Pati Jinich's love for Mexican food -- and her understanding of its tastes and history -- come through in everything she makes, including the four recipes she has shared with us this week. There's a bright salsa to start, a warm chicken main, a spicy and creamy vegetable side, and a sweet dessert. You've got everything you need to throw a party, or to make basic, weeknight cooking a little more interesting. Straighfoward, but still exciting and new, these dishes will inevitably become go-tos in your kitchen.

Our family has fallen into a wonderful summer tradition: Friday night dinners with our best friends - and so far four of seven of the dinners have been Mexican from Bayless or Kennedy! Looks like we have next Friday's menu all ready-made for us. Thank you!
