Hey everyone, sorry that I was slacking off and not posting the avocado soup recipe, but it's up now. My excuse is that I was on vacation with limited internet access. Great meeting all of you who came! -LeChef

Where'd you post it? I put "cold avocado soup" in the search recipes line and came up empty.

What a fun afternoon you must have had! Love the photo of Addie eating cake!

I'd love to join in on a late summer Boston-area gathering as well, sounds fun!

I am so upset that I missed this completely. I have been thinking that I would love to meet fellow bloggers in Manhattan.

Please count me in on a Boston Food52 romp. Late summer gathering, perhaps, when everything is ripening? A spot alongside the Charles?

That really drove home how homesick I remain for New York after more than four years away in San Francisco! What a lovely day. Where exactly was that? Someplace on the edge of the Great Lawn or elsewhere?

Northwest corner of Sheep Meadow. It was a lovely day, yes. I'm sure San Francisco has much to recommend it, though.

Maggie, we're trying to get a Boston-area group together - would you be in?

I'm so in, Jennifer. Also happy to donate my backyard (so cocktails can be involved...). Though a park in Boston would be so lovely too...

I miss NYC, too, now. That has NEVER gone away, but every once in a while, I see things like this and I get very, very especially lonely for it. You guys put together a beautiful party. So civilized!

I suck for moving away from NYC a month ago. Hey Bay Area kids, whadduya say about meeting in Napa later this summer for another one'a these?

Brenna, I am working on a date for a Napa get together...maybe August...probably a Sunday lunch...If you are interested get in touch with me. Everyone is welcome... up to about 40. Wine will probably be involved.

The food not only looked good, but tasted good! It was fun meeting everyone and there's definitely another one planned-at our place if renovations go as scheduled or in the park again. And to those who will be in the NY area at that time, you're invited, of course.

Everything looks wonderful! It was so nice to see that my recipe was brought along for the fun.

Thanks so much to "Beet & Olive" for organizing and for the great photos!! Had SO much fun meeting fellow Food52 folks. There's already been talk of doing it again... maybe a last hurrah to summer back in the park, or else a fall evening... in someone's apartment?! (Though as already pointed out--space is always an issue!) Thanks to everyone for the feast, the Pimm's cups, the great company.
