October 22, 2013

Inspired by conversations on the Food52 Hotline, we're sharing tips and tricks that make navigating all of our kitchens easier and more fun.

Today: We continue Mario Batali's How To Tuesdays with a video on rolling out fresh pasta dough.

If we know anything about the Mario Batali restaurant group, it's that they're pasta experts.  They're also experts at passing their pasta skills along to home kitchens, so naturally, we invited them into ours.

Last time we showed off How to Make Fresh Pasta, now we'll show you what to do with it.  Whether you're making fettuccini, ravioli, spaghetti, or tortellini, the first step is always the same: roll, roll, roll that dough. Then roll it again. Don't worry -- it's fun and 100% worth the effort, plus Chef Josh Laurano of Tarry Market is there to guide you through the whole process. And be sure to stay tuned for next steps on what to do with your freshly rolled-out pasta.
