TasteFood is a recipe developer, cooking instructor and food blogger living in the San Francisco Bay Area whose recipes have had a big impact on food52's inaugural year. Four of them will be going into the first food52 cookbook (including Southwestern sweet potato fries; a whole fish baked in sea salt; a smoked ham with pomegranate molasses; and a broccoli rabe, potato and rosemary pizza) and many of you will remember her other terrific finalist recipes (gløgg anyone? cider-braised pork?).

After raising her family in Paris, Geneva, London and Copenhagen, TasteFood is also a staunch believer in the unifying power of the dinner table. To wit, she generously hosted the very first food52 potluck, inspiring other food52ers across the country to start planning their own. See TasteFood's profile page and fan her here.

Thank you so much! I only just discovered this - I've been too busy packing for an extended trip "home" to Europe! Thank you Food52 for the spotlight, but more importantly for providing and enabling such an inspirational and collaborative cooking community. And thank you to all Food52 friends for your comments. I look forward to another year of inspiration and creative cooking with all of you.
