The Sides of March (or, 12 Sides for the Ides)

March 15, 2014

"Beware the ides of March," said the soothsayer to Julius Caesar, and indeed, Caesar was assassinated on March 15. (R.I.P.)

"Prepare the sides of March!" we say, more cheerfully. Besides, the type of guy who overthrows republics and leads empires would probably smile on you eating a salad in his name. So, as we close in on the final days of winter, we're giving it a last hoorah with the help of kicky perk-ups -- salsa verde! citrus! brine! -- to psych them (and us) up for warmer days. We can practically hear the birds chirping already.
