I would like to make small meringue cookies for Christmas. Can those be made ahead of time, and if do, how should they be stored?

Yep, you can definitely make them ahead of time. I find meringues are good for about two days, when stored in a very dry place in an air tight container. Make sure to put a piece of parchment in between each layer of meringues.
