used 1tablespoon of anchovy paste in lieu of 2 anchovy fillets. will this overpower a stew? any remedy if so?

this is for beef stew with special surprise ingredient (the anchovies)

The anchovies add a great taste - very British of you to do it - remember it is adding salt.

Maybe a bit heavy on the substitution. Depends on how much you like anchovies. Just cut back on the salt and taste as you go.
