A question about a recipe: Hunter's-Style Chicken

What can I substitute for the sweet vermouth? Can be alcohol.I just don't have sweet vermouth and would prefer not to go out and get it.

I hear you. One more trip out is just one too many. Do you have a sweet-ish white wine on hand?

For a cacciatore (hunter style) the type of wine is not an essential component. Even a dry red would work.
