I'm not sure what you mean by type 2. There is a difference in color and taste. And to my knowledge there are 4 different "types"
I'm going to guess the question-asked meant Type 2 diabetes. Don't know enough about the preferred diets to be able to answer the question, but think I understand it...
If indeed you do mean Type 2 diabetes, then the answer is all. It's THE BEST grain that you can probably purchase. Then best comes down to preparation, which steaming or boiling would be best for your dietary restriction. You could make it more flavorful by dry roasting it first, or adding cumin and fresh herbs. The latter of which would aid in your digestion
Because quinoa is not actually a grain it doesn't have the carb profile of rice and other grains.
Quinoa is higher in protein than true grains; probably more like beans in its composition. Do you have a nutritionist you can question? I would guess it's good, but a matter of portion size.
