Lemon sorbet is the ultimate palate freshner.
My favorite it rosemary. It's disarmingly strange, but so delicious. Or orange basil.
Anything refreshing ....adding to the above: apple, watermelon, thyme, lemongrass, cucumber
Never thought of cucumber, that would be wonderful!
White wine poaching liquid for pears with saffron and cloves is beautiful
Cara cara oranges are coming the stores now. That would be nice.
I have had great success with olive oil & lemon sorbet. It has a nice mouthfeel, thanks to the olive oil and the lemon is a classic for a reason. Just sure that your olive is good. I would not use anything that rhymes with "Disco." As mentioned above cucumber sounds interesting, my tweak would be the addition of mint, preferably spearmint.
