I am looking for a strong magnetic knife rack in stainless steel that will really hold the knives tightly. Any recommendations?

Why Stainless, it will damage your knifes! The best way to go is with a wood one that will be gentle with your expensive knifes yet strong to hold them. I bought one from http://www.mocwoodworks.com they are great!

Be careful if you use a heavy knife like Wusthof. They are precarious on magnetic racks.

I have a couple from Ikea that I've had for a long time. They are very strong--attach to the wall using drywall plugs so you don't pull it right off with the knife!

I used this one awhile ago (http://www.amazon.com/MIU-France-Stainless-Magnetic-20-Inches/dp/B0000DZDHB/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1328903990&sr=1-1), but recently I bought a wood one from Etsy that I really dig. Its wood so am I less afraid of it dulling my knives.
