Is there a way to make these gluten free? Would they be as good? Thanks!

Hi, I would try to make an almond base-- go to http://www.elanaspantry.com/ and look for an almond meal crust recipe. It's basically ground almonds, oil or butter, a pinch of salt.. maybe some sweetener.

Yes, a one-for-one substitution with TK's Cup4Cup GF Flour (found here: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/cup4cup-gluten-free-flour/?pkey=e|gluten%2Bfree%2Bflour|1|best|0|1|24||1&cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_-Feature_Recipe_Rule-_-) will do it. If you use TK's flour it will be as good, if you resort to using gums and powders, maybe not.
