I have a question about the recipe "Spicy Chocolate Ginger Cake" from drbab. What are the spices in Chinese 5 spice powder? Also the proportions of them?

The mix can vary by both content and proportion--star anise, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, some other stuff like anise or fennel or cassia, There are a lot of pre-mixed ones on the market, so if you're uncertain, you can buy one.
