A question about a recipe: Spicy Chocolate Ginger Cake

I have a question about the recipe "Spicy Chocolate Ginger Cake" from drbabs. Is the butter amount 1/4 of a Cup OR 1 stick??? One stick is actually 1/2 of a Cup!!! Please answer asap

It's not my recipe and hopefully drbabs will see this but because 1 stick is in parenthesis i would use that amount. She may have meant to put 1/4 pound and accidentally clicked on cup.

I just saw this and I'm so sorry, it should have been 1/4 pound (1 stick) of butter.
