Easter cookies

Ok guys, I'm pretty good at baking. However, I've never tried my hand at sugar cookies with royal icing. I'd appreciate any and all tips and recipes. Thanks in advance!

I have made sugar cookies ever since i remember on Easter. A hint i would give would be to make sure you refrigerate the dough before you roll it out. also make sure the cookies are all the same thickness here's a few recipes http://www.marthastewart... regular buttercream is also really good to use and is what i've been using forever. it's also really good to dip them in chocolate ganache. good luck!

Martha Stewart also has good pointers on using royal icing:
