Ramp Carbonara

Why is this recipe called carbonara? Isn't the black pepper that is used in carbonara recipes the reason the recipe is called carbonara? This recipe uses no black pepper.

My bad - the black pepper is in step two of the instructions - not in the ingredients list. I'll update.
