A question about a recipe: Creamy Homemade Ricotta

I have a question about the recipe "Creamy Homemade Ricotta" from Jennifer Perillo. I think someone asked this earlier but I didn't find the answer- is it okay here to substitute the standard alternative for buttermilk: "1 T of vinegar or lemon juice per 1 c milk, let sit'?

That should work! Another way to make ricotta involves adding the lemon juice directly to the milk, so this would definitely work as well.
